Our Program Sessions
Monday: Refreshing Day Training (10:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
We understand that individuals who have come from countries affected by war may have experienced significant losses, such as their families, friends, or relatives. As a result, they may feel a range of emotions including grief, loneliness, or trauma. Our Refreshing Day Training provides a supportive environment where individuals can find solace, make new connections, and embark on a journey towards healing. It's a safe space to share experiences and support one another in rebuilding a sense of community and hope.
Here are some highlights of our program:
- Reduce depression and foster new friendships and connections.
- Set intentions for the week ahead. What do you hope to accomplish?
- Stay hydrated throughout the day to maintain focus and energy.
- Incorporate light stretching or a short walk to promote physical well-being.
- Take breaks when needed. Mental and physical health are paramount.
Remember, it's okay to ask for help if needed. You don't have to face challenges alone.
Wednesday: Welfare Benefits (10:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
We recognise that language barriers can make it challenging to navigate these processes, which is why our dedicated team is here to assist you. We're committed to helping you identify your concerns and guiding you to the appropriate organizations or local authorities for support.
Additionally, we offer the following assistance:
- ESOL class
- Integration courses
- Providing interpreters to accompany you to appointments
- Assisting with filling out application forms
- Supporting you in registering with a General Practitioner (GP)
- Helping you enrol in college, school, or ESOL programs
- Aiding in the application process for Universal Credit or the Manchester move
Thursday: (10:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
We distribute clothes, shoes, and other essentials to those in need. Some items will be available for distribution at our centre, while others will be allocated to support asylum seekers in hostels across Greater Manchester and beyond. Please note that we welcome clothing donations from any donors.
Our initiative aims to provide practical support to individuals facing hardship, ensuring they have access to basic necessities for daily living. By distributing clothing items, we strive to alleviate some of the challenges that vulnerable individuals may encounter, promoting dignity and well-being within our community. Your contributions are invaluable in helping us extend our reach and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve
