SSO Trip to Llandudno Beach – Wales

As part of our summer initiatives to bring families and youth together and reduce social isolation, the Solidarity and Support Organisation (SSO) organised a wonderful trip to Llandudno Beach in Wales on 29 June.

The journey began at 9:00 AM from our headquarters at Onyx House – Manchester, and we returned at 9:00 PM after a full day of fun, connection, and family-friendly activities.

More than 100 participants—men, women, and children—joined the trip, enjoying the seaside atmosphere, socializing, making new friends, and discovering beautiful places within the United Kingdom.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Women’s Committee, led by Eng. Tagreed, for their excellent organisation and the tremendous efforts that made this trip a great success. Their dedication and commitment played a clear role in bringing joy to everyone and truly reflected the spirit of solidarity.

We also express our gratitude to the National Lottery Awards for All and the Edward Holt Trust for their generous support of this initiative.

The day was filled with laughter, memories, and moments that will stay with us for a long time.

London Initiatives

London Initiatives

The Solidarity & Support Organisation has initiated a clothing and accessory collection drive, gathering donations to aid new asylum seekers recently arrived in the UK. Alongside used phones and monetary contributions from SSO members, we visited three hotels in London: London Seven Kings, Best Western Hotel, and Continental Hotel. Our aim is to extend this assistance to other hotels housing asylum seekers in need of support.

Challenges:
We are encountering challenges in finding suitable community spaces in Doncaster. Currently, we rely on one individual's home as a collection point during emergency situations. Additionally, securing funds for trips to London or other hotels presents financial obstacles. We appeal to civil society organisations to assist us in providing aid to those in need. We extend our gratitude to all who have contributed to this initiative.

Sheffield Initiative

Expanding our efforts, we have launched an initiative to provide clothing and accessories for new asylum seekers in Sheffield, specifically Lawrence Field Apartments. Our goal is to extend this assistance to all hotels accommodating new asylum seekers in the near future. We express our heartfelt appreciation to all who have donated financially and morally to support refugees and asylum seekers, particularly the Sudanese community in Doncaster and Barnsley.

Closing of the Manchester Football League 2025

“Today 9th September 2025 marks the conclusion of a truly remarkable tournament — a league that brought our community together, strengthened our bonds, and showcased the incredible talent of our youth.

I am deeply proud of what we have achieved together. This event was not just about football; it was about unity, belonging, and creating safe and positive spaces for our young people and families. We witnessed passion, discipline, sportsmanship, and a spirit of solidarity that reflects the best of our community.
My sincere appreciation goes to all the teams, coaches, referees, volunteers, and the wonderful supporters who filled this league with life and energy. I also extend heartfelt thanks to our generous partners — The National Lottery Community Fund and the Edward Holt Trust — whose support made this event possible.
To the organising committee, and especially the Women’s Committee, your hard work and commitment were essential to the success of this tournament. Thank you for standing with us and serving the community with dedication and love.

As a chair of the Solidarity and Support Organisation (SSO), I am honoured to see this vision grow year after year.

This league is only the beginning. With continued unity and effort, we will achieve even greater accomplishments for our community.

Congratulations to the champions, and respect to every team that inspired us with their performance.
Together, we build a stronger community. Together, we move forward.”

Engineer Adam Abdalla
Founder & Chair

Generously funded by The National Lottery Community Fund & the Edward Holt Trust

On Sunday, 9 September 2025, we concluded an exceptional tournament that united us all around one shared passion — football.

The final match was a true spectacle of excitement and skill.

Liverpool Youth and Liverpool delivered an unforgettable performance, ending in a dramatic 3–3 draw, before Liverpool secured the title in a thrilling penalty shootout, surrounded by an electric atmosphere.
But the truth is, this league was far more than a series of matches.

It was a safe space for young people to showcase their talents, build friendships, and connect with others — helping them overcome isolation and loneliness in a foreign land.

We also extend special appreciation to the Women’s Committee for their strong presence and active involvement in planning and supporting the event. They proved that no collective success is complete without the essential contribution of women, who were true partners in this social and sporting celebration.

This league demonstrated once again that sports have the power to create positive change, build bridges of solidarity, and strengthen unity across the community.

Our heartfelt thanks go to all participating teams, referees, the organizing committee, our wonderful supporters, and every generous hand that helped make this tournament a reality. Your contribution is the reason behind this success.

The real victory today is not only the trophy — it is the spirit of solidarity, cooperation, and the new friendships that will last long after the final whistle.

To Our Champions – Liverpool, Winners of the Manchester Football League 2025

You lifted the trophy… and with it, you lifted the flag of pride.

You were warriors on the pitch — skilled, determined, and relentless until the very last moment. You proved that championships are won through dedication, teamwork, and unwavering determination.

Liverpool did not only win matches — you won the hearts of your supporters, and it was your collective spirit that made all the difference.

We congratulate you on this remarkable achievement and extend our deepest respect and appreciation for everything you have given.

You are the pride of this tournament and its true heartbeat.

A Historic Moment at the Closing of the Manchester Football League 2025

Amid loud applause from the crowd and cheers from the players, Coach Ahmed Al-Amin, the coordinator and CEO of the tournament, handed the championship trophy to the winning team.

Coach Ahmed was not just an organizer — he was the mastermind and driving force behind this entire league. From the very first day, he worked tirelessly: coordinating teams, organizing schedules, managing logistics, and overseeing every detail with exceptional precision. Thanks to his dedication, the tournament concluded in a remarkable and memorable way that delighted everyone.

Our deepest appreciation goes to Coach Ahmed Al-Amin. You have created a success that will be remembered in the history of the community, and you proved that working with solidarity and sincerity can achieve the impossible.

Statement of the Women’s Committee – Dr. Noor

“On this wonderful closing day, I am honoured to represent the Women’s Committee. We are proud to have contributed to the success of this league, which brought our youth and community together in a spirit of unity and sportsmanship.

Our thanks go to the Solidarity and Support Organization (SSO), and to our supporters — The National Lottery Awards for All and the Edward Holt Trust — for making this event possible.
Congratulations to all the teams, and heartfelt appreciation to everyone who supported, organized, and participated. Together, we have shown the true strength of our community.”

Appreciation Message to Liverpool Youth – Runners-Up of the Manchester Football League 2025

Appreciation Message to Liverpool Youth – Runners-Up of the Manchester Football League 2025

Today, we did not see a runner-up… we saw a heroic team that delivered some of the finest football performances of the tournament.

You played with fighting spirit and exceptional skill until the very last moment, and although the final was decided on penalties, you lost with honour — and that alone is a true achievement worthy of great respect.
A special tribute goes to Coach Eng. Hassi, who led the team with wisdom and excellence;

to Captain Adam Abdullah Dembélé, the tournament’s top scorer and the man behind many decisive goals;
and to the brilliant star Mane, who dazzled the crowd with his talent and performances.

We also extend our deep appreciation to every single player who gave their all and proudly raised the name of Liverpool Youth throughout the competition.

You are champions in our eyes, and you are one of the greatest strengths of this league.

A loss on penalties is not an ending — it is the beginning of a new journey for a great team that will surely come back even stronger.

Player Ziko – Best Player of the Manchester Football League 2025

“Praise be to God for this wonderful achievement… Winning the championship with my team is truly a dream come true.

Being selected as the Best Player of the League is the greatest honour for me, and I dedicate this achievement to my teammates, who were my real support and strength throughout the tournament.

My sincere thanks to the Solidarity and Support Organization (SSO) for their sponsorship, and to The National Lottery Awards for All and the Edward Holt Trust for their contribution to the success of this remarkable football festival.

The title may be individual… but the credit belongs to the whole team.

Together we lifted the trophy, and together we made history.”

Captain Tofaha – League Champion and Man of the Match

“Praise be to God… My joy today is indescribable!

We achieved this trophy through teamwork, determination, and fighting spirit — and I dedicate this victory to all our amazing supporters.

As for being named Man of the Match, I consider it an honour, but in truth, it is a recognition of the entire team.

My thanks go to the Solidarity and Support Organization (SSO) for their sponsorship, and to our supporters — The National Lottery Awards for All and the Edward Holt Trust — for their generous backing.”

Coach Amir Deng – Manager of Liverpool, Champions of the Manchester Football League 2025

“Praise be to God, first and foremost… Today we wrote a new chapter in the history of Liverpool.
I am proud of my players, who fought until the very last second and gifted our supporters a well-deserved championship.

This trophy is not ours alone — it belongs to everyone who believed in us, supported us, and stood by us throughout the journey.

My sincere thanks to the Solidarity and Support Organization (SSO) and to The National Lottery Awards for All and the Edward Holt Trust for sponsoring this remarkable sporting event.

Glory to Liverpool… and respect to all the teams that showcased outstanding performances throughout the tournament.”

Coach Engineer. Hussi – Liverpool Youth Team Manager

“I am incredibly proud of my players, who gave everything they had until the very last moment. We came close to winning the trophy, but we gained something far greater — team spirit, friendship, and an experience that will make us even stronger in the future.

My sincere thanks go to our amazing supporters, and special appreciation to the Solidarity and Support Organization (SSO) and our partners, the National Lottery Awards for All and the Edward Holt Trust, for their tremendous support.

Our promise… Liverpool Youth will return even stronger next season, God willing.”
